Special Interview With Prakash Bajracharya - WWW 2002 Winner

"One thing is sure, winning the title WaveWebWinner 2002 made me very popular"
WAVE: What and where are you studying?
Prakash: I’m doing my Bachelors in Computer Application at CMR Institute of Management Studies, in Bangalore, India. This is a 3-year course and I am currently completing my first semester.

WAVE: Any pointers for young people interested in web designing?
Prakash: Young people who are interested in web designing should keep exploring the web! They should remember that nothing happens in one day. It takes time and lots of patience to become a good designer. It took me around 2 years to become what I am now. Dreams can only be made a reality if one is confident enough and is prepared to work hard.

WAVE: How did winning the WWW2002 title help you?
Prakash: One thing is sure, winning the title Wave Web Winner 2002 made me very popular. Lots of people have been inspired by the site I made for the competition in Jan 2002 (www.flash.com.np). Do check out the site and the guestbook. Also after WWW2002, I got some job offers and I feel many people got addicted to Flash.

WAVE: Any suggestions for this year’s WWW2003 contestants?
Prakash: Use FLASH MX !! That’s my first suggestion for this year’s contestants. Secondly, go through lots of websites more often. This will give you an idea about what people like about the Web, which designs look best and what draws visitors to a website. Last, but not the least, I feel that designers should use a bit of flash on their websites instead of normal text links. This will certainly make the site more interesting and worth more than one visit.
