Background of WWW
WAVE, a Himalmedia publication, has initiated the Wave Web Winner web-designing competition in order to promote local web designers. The competition is open to all Nepalis residing in Nepal, and targeted towards the youth. Initiated in 2002, the competition enters its third edition with the WWW 2004.

Being the inaugural competition, the competition was held on a single, open category. The entries were judged by an independent panel of eminent IT and design media professionals on the following parameters:
